I know I know I know… it’s been a while.

I’ve… um… ya know.. uh … been busy. with that thing called life.

Actually. I’ll be honest. About a year ago I sorta prioritized things and blogging didn’t make the list. gasp. 

The honeymoon period seemed to wear off and it felt like a job. But a really really really really low paying job. Did I mention the workload? I was pretty much in Office Space land.

So I stopped. Why do something you don’t enjoy? (I mean as a hobby- I understand a lot of life is doing stuff we don’t like to do. Can anyone say dishes?! Amen.)

But then something happened.

I started to miss it. My hobby. Photography. Food. Cooking. And connecting with all y’alls. yep, I live in Texas now, gotta embrace.

So I’m back! And totes in style with this rad new cocktail. Limit one. Really. It’s a delicious doozy.

The Oriental recipe from Down House 

Makes 1 drink (that’s all you’ll need)

1 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey

3/4 oz Curacao

3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime)

Fill a shaker with ice.

Add everything. Shake well.

Pour through a strainer.

Serve in a martini glass.
