Tuesdays Things

After moving to Houston (okay to Spring, about 30 miles North of Houston, and definitely not Houston so I’ll stop saying I moved to Houston when I didn’t), I seemed to have lost some time. All of a sudden, 24 hours doesn’t seem like 24 no mo’. Even that ‘fall back’ during daylights saving time didn’t help. For reals, I’m pretty sure time moves faster in Texas (or slower in Cali), and I’m totally blaming this state for never getting anything done. Never having time to cook, take pictures, re-take pictures, re-cook because I didn’t get a chance to take pictures, or workout. Yes, I realize having my workout as the last item on the list means it probably won’t get done –  one of the many perks of being a behavior therapist, I totally know how to avoid things I don’t want to do.


Guess what?! Yesterday, I got ‘er done. (Again, blame Texas.)

I cooked, took pictures, didn’t have to re-take any (yes!) AND worked out. What What!

Wanna know what else? Apparently I thought ahead for this super busy time, cooked a bunch, took a ton of pics, and then left them there (in lightroom), for a rainy/busy day/week. Damn Lauren, you one smart gal. Or forgetful. Whatevs.

Pumpkin Cake Bread – Like bread but more like cake.

Okay, so I know it looks like I just baked and drank with a little sauce on the side. But… wait for it…. I also made some Ginger Carrots.

Thyme Garlic Browned Butter.

and Pomegranate Goat Cheese.

Guess I should plan ahead (aka forget and get busy) more often, ’cause this week’s gonna be a breeze. Never mind all those important meetings at work.
