Peach-a-ritas

I know, I know, it’s only Monday. What I am doing posting a cocktail?

Well, sometimes you just don’t want the weekend to end.

Sometimes, the thought of Monday makes you want to run back into bed, hid under the covers and not show your face ’till Thursday rolls around.

Sometimes, when you start a new job, and a new school, in a new town, Monday gets a whole lot more complicated. Mixed emotions of fear, excitement yield unfortunate nausea and anxiety. And it seems nothing but time makes it go away – along with deep breaths, prayer and ginger ale.

Oh yeah, and peach-a-ritas. :) One will do, after all it’s only Monday.

New days (even Mondays), make way for new¬†possibilities, so let’s celebrate everyone’s least favorite day of the week – at least there’s only one.

Peach-a-ritas

by The Talking Kitchen

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 4 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 1.5 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp Grand Marnier (optional, but delicious)
  • 1/2 peach
  • 1 cup ice
  • Garnish glass with lime zest and coconut sugar or lime zest and sea salt

Instructions

Add everything to a blender, except for the garnish.

Blend until combined.

To garnish glass, combine lime zest and sugar or salt on a small plate. Use a slice of lime to wet the rim of the glass, flip over glass and place on plate to make garnish stick.

Pour in peach-a-rita and serve with peach slices. Enjoy!
