A few weekends ago we woke up at 4 am (fell back asleep until 7), re-woke up, decided it was a more appropriate hour and headed up North to Canton, TX. It was flea market time!
This kind of flea market was new to me, there were ‘As Seen on TV’ booths, an indoor and outdoor section, way cool plants like pomegranate trees and absolutely no signs. Intermingled I managed to find some cool antique ones with vintage looking and actual vintage items. Yay!
Small chalkboard, bookshelf holders, fleur de lis hooks, and decorative soap holders – among the winners chosen.
My favorites might be the white cloth and cast iron skillet. But I also scored some milk jars and an apron – it’s got pockets! – but don’t have photos of yet.
I do have photos of mushrooms though.
Quite the sight to enjoy while grilling.
Last Saturday we grilled skewered meat according to this recipe. Do it. Really, just do it.
Then make yoself some smores.
Fall weekends here we come!
Do you do flea markets? Garage sales?
Where are your best places to get cool finds?
