Hey! You! Guys! (Slug from Goonies style)
You know it’s Falltime?!?
Yep, sure is.
Have you decorated yet?
What? No!
You haven’t? How dare!
Well, don’t you worry. I gotcha covered.
How – T0:
2 Sliced oranges- dried in the oven on 200 degrees all afternoon (or after you turn off a 375 degree oven and pull out a batch of sugar free pumpkin bread – ’tis fall!)
12 Cinnamon sticks
24-36 Bay leaves
2 wooden skewers
Start by skewering an orange slice, keep the stick vertical and lay a cinnamon stick on it, then thread the bay leaves and
repeat until there are 6 sets on each skewer, end with an extra orange slice.
Place in a vintage jar/vase (you can push all the fall galore to one end of the stick) and display on the mantle or as a easy homemade centerpiece.

Not sure how long it keeps… I’ll let you know, but boy does it smell nice!

How do you do the holiday decorations?

I love these! We like to do something similar as garlands for the Christmas tree… as if I really need more seasonal smells this time of year. But I can’t help it
I know I’m a total sucker for seasonal smells, I have a pot of water, orange, star anise, cinnamon and cloves steaming in my kitchen all winter long. I love it!
